Pressler to Speak at Columbia University

(New York, NY) Senator Larry Pressler is the Co-Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Columbia Institute Tele-Information (CITI). As such, he will chair a panel at the annual meeting of the CITI at the business school at Columbia University on Friday, October 20. Pressler was the principal author of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. He is currently the Thomas Hawkins Johnson Visiting Scholar at West Point Military Academy.

In his remarks, Pressler will analyze progress in the telecommunications area since the passage of the 1996 act. The CITI conference will be attended by telecommunications experts from the United States, Europe, and Asia.
